The Shoregals dominated girls' basketball in the 1990's and the 1997-1998 edition was no exception. As the season closed, their record stood at 21-3. The team won the SWC and District Championships before losing in the regional semi-finals. Michelle Burke, Molly Lescher and Colleen Byrne earned All County honors. Megan Ryan was named First Team SWc. To no one's surprise, the senior girls had compiled a four year record of 80-6. True student athletes, their team grade point average was a commendable 3.6.
