1985-86 Shoregals 3200M & 6400M Relay Teams

The quartet of Lisa Clark, Melissa Bailey, Kirsteen Lochhead and Yvonne Saul proved to be a dream team for the Avon Lake Shoregals during the 1986 track and field season.

Among the many records set by that year's team, a fair share belonged to the 3,200 and 6,400- meter relay teams.

The Shoregals' fearsome foursome qualified for the state meet in both events. They took second in the 3,200 with a time of 9:19.9 and established a state record in the 6,400 with a time of 21 :50.

Clark and Saul served as team captains that year. Saul was awarded the team MVP honor at the end of the season. That year the entire Shoregals team compiled a record of 5-2, falling only to Bay and Medina. The Shoregals placed second in the conference tournament, fourth at districts and ninth at regionals.
