1980-1981 ALHS Volleyball Team
The song “Another One Bites the Dust” described the year as one challenger after another fell. The season provided ample reward for the senior laden squad’s three years of hard work. Their enthusiasm and superb team provided their fans with many memorable moments. Fifteen straight wins... a SWC Championship... Tournament of Champions championship... 22 wins, 8 losses... sectional and district crowns... a regional appearance and a tough loss to Stow... Connie Meier and Ann Malone first team All-Conference... Ann Malone MVP Southwestern Conference... Coach Anna Allen SWC Co-Coach of the Year.
