The 1958 Football Team will be the first Jim Gratz team to be inducted. This squad distinguished themselves as the first eleven-man undefeated team, with a record of 7-0-1 and Avon Lake’s first Gateway Conference Championship. In addition, as the first team to play on the Memorial football field dedicated in September of 1958, they graced the inaugural event with a victory over Columbia.
