1936-37 ALHS Basketball Team
The 1936-37 Basketball Team will be the third basketball squad to be inducted into the Avon Lake Sports Hall of Fame. The team posted a 16-2 mark, best in the school’s history at the time, and had a record fifteen consecutive game win streak in games one through fifteen. The sixteen games won is tied for sixth best in the school’s 67 year basketball history. The 15-game win streak held up 52 years until 1989-90, when Avon Lake’s Regional Runner-up team rolled off a 17-game streak. Clayton Maus was the Championship team’s coach.
