1988 ALHS Girls Cross-Country Team
The 1988 girls cross-country team is the second girls harrier squad to be honored. This team was undefeated in the SWC, won three invitational meets, and finished second in three others before completing the season with a state championship. Coach Al Buckeye won his second state title with a number of returning runners. All seven varsity performers were All-Conference that year, including First-Team performers Julie Hart, Vivienne Lochhead, Jennifer Saul, and Sarah Shuster. Second-Team All-SWC awards went to Laura West, Shauna Rumsey and Amy Houdeshell. Other team members included Toni Grant, Krista Rowles and Beth Jasko.
