Tim Loeser

Tim Loeser, a 1977 graduate of Avon Lake High School was instrumental in leading the Shoremen football team to two straight Southwestern Conference championships. In 1975, as a junior, he was the leading scorer, with 11 touchdowns and 66 points, and was the leading rusher and thus was named first team all conference. As a senior, while leading the Shoremen to their third straight title in three years he practically rewrote the record books. Tim set the following records: 126 total points, 1320 yards rushing in a single season, and became the career rushing leader with 2151 yards in two seasons. During his senior year he averaged 146 yards per game. As a single game highlight he gained 304 yards in 41 carriers in leading the Shoremen to a 34-12 victory over Fairview.

In recognition of his excellent accomplishments Tim was named to the Plain Dealer Dream Team, the 1976 Plain Dealer All Scholastic Football Squad, All Ohio third Team and the Lorain County Coaches All-Star Team. He was recognized by his teammates and coaches and the Most Valuable Player and Top Offensive Back and was cited as the most prolific back in school history.
