Melissa Banjoff

Melissa Banjoff received numerous accolades in three sports. A four-year varsity player in basketball, Banjoff was named to the All-Southwestern Conference, All-Lorain County and All-District first teams; the Ohio Division III Player of the Year; gold medal winner at the Northeast Ohio Sports Festival; Avon Lake female athlete of the year; Lorain County all-star; and an honor graduate as a member of a SWC championship team.

As a three-year varsity letterwinner in volleyball, Banjoff was named to the All-Ohio team, AII-SWC and AllNortheast District first teams, a senior all-star, an All-Lorain County scholastic team selection and the co-MVP.

As a state qualifier in track, Banjoff was a standout in high jump and relays. She was also an SWC champion in the high jump.

Banjoff continued her basketball and volleyball career at the collegiate level at the University of Dayton. She earned her master's degree from Baldwin Wallace College and is currently teaching sixth grade at Avon Lake's Troy Intermediate School.
