Jim Toth (CLASS OF 1991)

As a freshman, sophomore and junior, Jim was a defensive standout for the Shoremen, but during his senior year he exploded. As the season progressed, Jim was recognized by the Cleveland Plain Dealer and the Press as Player of the Week. Opponents knew #78 was a player to avoid. His dominant play earned him recognition as MVP for the Southwestern Conference and Lorain County,All-SWC,AllCounty and All-District.

Following these accolades, Jim was named All-Ohio. He chose to continue his football endeavors at Allegheny College. As a Gator, Jim was a three year letterman. He was an integral element of the team as they earned three NCAA titles.

Today, Jim and his wife Haley (Hagedorn) live in Avon Lake and enjoy spending time with their sons Alex and Zak. The Avon Lake Sports Hall of Fame is proud to welcome Jim as its newest member.
