Duff, a tri-captain and lineman who played both offense and defense, earned numerous honors his senior year for the Shoremen.

Duff was named to the Associated Press All-Ohio Class AAA Special Mention for offensive tackle. In addition to an All-Northeast Ohio Lakes District first team honor, Duff was also named to the All-Lorain County and Southwestern Conference first teams.

Duff went on to play at Wheaton College, earning all-conference status in 1986. He was also named the senior Defensive Player of the Year in 1986.
