Chris Heslep (CLASS OF 2000)

Soccer standout Chris Heslep leaves a legacy of athletic and scholastic achievements for others to strive to achieve. At Avon Lake High School, Chris was a four year letterman in soccer and track, played basketball, served on student council plus was elected to the National Honor Society. In soccer, he became the team and SWC MVP. In track, Chris was on the 4 X 400 relay team that finished second in the state.

Success continued for Chris both athletically and academically at John Carroll University. The Yellow Jacket forward became a four time All Ohio and All Region selection. Heslep's highest honor was his selection to First Team AllAmerican. He remains the career goal leader at JCU. His excellence on the field was matched with his performance in the classroom as he was chosen as an Academic All-American. The Avon Lake Sports Hall of Fame is honored to have Chris in the Class of 2018.
