Charles A. Robison

Charles “Chuck” Robison is one of those individuals whose athletic accomplishments have “stood the test of time.” An outstanding athlete in his era, many of his marks stood until recent years. Chuck was a three-sport athlete in high school and accomplished what is rarely done at a higher level… become a three-sport athlete in college as well.

Robison lettered four years at Avon Lake High School in track, winning the James Wood Memorial his sophomore, junior and senior years. In basketball and football he lettered three years and received all-conference honors his two years in each sport. Chuck’s track record in the long jump was not broken until the ‘80’s, and his Lorain County records in the high hurdles, low hurdles, and long jump stood for many years.

After graduation he moved on to Oberlin College, again distinguishing himself in all three sports. Upon graduation he moved to Michigan where he presently lives. He has been actively involved in sports throughout his life, in later years as a board member, youth coach and recreational participant.
